Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) · São Paulo, Brazil
**About GWEC** The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) is the industry association representing the global wind industry sector. GWEC articulates the vision for global wind energy to major world bodies, including the UNFCCC, the International Energy Agency, the International Renewable Energy Agency and other bodies, as well as governments which are responsible for strategies, targets and implementation thereof in electricity generation and supply. GWEC has a particular focus on supporting the clean energy transition in Global South regions across the Asia\-Pacific, Africa and Latin America. GWEC works together with the leading representative industry associations as well as the global wind energy industry to build a platform which communicates a common vision to all leading global decision\-makers, policymakers and key opinion leaders. **About the Role** GWEC wishes to call upon an individual (“the Candidate” or “them”) to act as Grids Officer, Brazil, within the Global Policy team. The Candidate will play an important role in leading the grids advocacy strategy in Brazil, with a special focus on grid modernisation, system operation and market conditions to reduce curtailment. They will report to the Director, Latin America, and work closely with the Specialist, Grids, on the policy team, as well as with the Grids Programme Manager.
