By joining SSE, you will have the opportunity to grow your expertise in a dynamic technical environment, contributing to engineering projects and solutions. **About the role** We are looking for a Field Specialist – Control \& Automation to provide technical assistance and optimize automation systems applied to turbines, compressors and related equipment. You will be the technical reference for our clients, from punch list review through commissioning and field startup. **What you will do** *Technical support and consulting* * Provide on\-site technical assistance to clients to optimize the performance of automation systems. * Troubleshoot turbomachinery and their control systems. * Act as a technical consultant, advising on operating procedures and performance improvements. * Review punch lists, gather technical information and propose viable alternatives, supporting technical decisions. *Configuration and development* * Install and configure hardware, adjusting parameters and properties according to technical documentation. * Modify system functions: variables, alarms, logic and operating instructions. * Work on retrofit and revitalization of control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, ESD, F\&G, BMS, MMS and anti\-surge). *Field work and commissioning* * Perform commissioning, startup, performance testing, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test). * Provide installation support for new and refurbished units. * Prepare measurement equipment, spare parts and technical documentation for field missions. *Engineering and documentation* * Prepare technical reports and documentation for the activities and missions performed. * Support formal engineering procedures and the definition of required materials, equipment and services. * Contribute to feasibility studies, control system architecture and test requirements definition. *Safety* * Ensure, promote and strengthen compliance with HSE guidelines. **What we are looking for** * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Control and Automation Engineering. * Solid experience in automation and control of rotating machinery: gas and steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, pumps, expanders, generators and electric motors. * Knowledge of SCADA and PLC systems, and of safety systems (ESD, F\&G), including anti\-surge control and machinery monitoring. * Experience with one or more of the following manufacturers and platforms: Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Yokogawa, Woodward (Micronet Plus, 2301\), Emerson (RX3i), GE Mark VIe/VIeS, HIMA, Triconex, Bently Nevada, ProTech GII and Waukesha ESM. * Experience in field commissioning and startup. * Ability to write technical reports and documentation. * Availability for domestic and international travel, including offshore work. * Advanced English.
