Database Engineer at BairesDev We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain high\-performance database systems. You will work on query engines, database internals, and performance tuning for large\-scale and distributed applications. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in SQL, database architecture, and system performance, ensuring that our data infrastructure is robust, scalable, and efficient. What You'll Do: * Design, implement, and maintain relational and non\-relational database systems. * Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database structures for high performance. * Analyze and improve database internals and query engines. * Monitor and tune database performance, ensuring scalability and reliability. * Collaborate with application and backend teams to design data models aligned with system requirements. * Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and high\-availability strategies. * Evaluate and integrate new database technologies and tools to enhance system performance. * Mentor and guide team members on best practices in database design and optimization. What we are looking for: * 4\+ years of experience with databases, SQL optimization, and query engine tuning. * Strong background in software architecture design. * Strong understanding of system security. * In\-depth knowledge of memory management and performance optimization. * Experience in designing and integrating distributed and scalable solutions, particularly in cloud environments. * Skilled in relational and non\-relational databases. * Ability to choose between different architectures/technologies, understanding the pros and cons of each. * Expert in managing CI/CD pipelines. * Advanced level of English.
