We are looking for a **Brazil\-based Senior Risk Manager** to oversee risk management and cybersecurity governance for our regulated business in Brazil, with responsibility for capital oversight and prudential reporting. This opportunity is suited to an experienced risk professional ready to take the next step into a broader leadership role. The role includes appointment as a statutory director, with formal accountability before the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) for risk management, capital management, prudential disclosures, cybersecurity policy and incident response. You will work closely with the local CEO, AML/Compliance Director and Group control functions. Our Brazilian business is at an early stage of development. Your focus will be on adapting the Group’s existing frameworks to local requirements, maintaining effective oversight and ensuring that agreed actions are completed. Operational execution will be supported by Finance, Risk, Security, Product, Engineering and external specialists. Responsibilities: * Act as the statutory director responsible for risk management, capital management, prudential disclosures, cybersecurity policy and incident response under applicable BCB requirements. * Adapt and maintain the Group’s risk\-management framework for the Brazilian business, including local risk policies, risk appetite, limits, the risk register, KRIs and escalation thresholds; coordinate regular risk assessments, assign risk owners and monitor mitigation and remediation actions. * Oversee financial and non\-financial risks, including operational, liquidity, market, credit, counterparty, technology, custody, third\-party and cybersecurity risks. * Assess material risks arising from new products, partners, outsourcing arrangements and changes to the operating model, working with the relevant teams to agree appropriate controls. * Ensure the company maintains the required regulatory capital and an appropriate capital buffer, and oversee capital planning, capital adequacy, PR/RWA, liquidity, stress testing and contingency measures. * Oversee the governance, accuracy and timely delivery of prudential reporting and disclosures, including applicable DLI, DRL and Pillar 3 processes, ensuring that calculations and submissions are reproducible and appropriately supported. * Oversee local cybersecurity policies, action plans and incident\-response arrangements, working closely with Group Security and Engineering on technology controls, custody, access management and critical third\-party services. * Ensure that material security and operational incidents are identified, escalated, investigated, documented, remediated and reported as required; oversee business\-continuity and disaster\-recovery testing. * Provide regular risk, capital and cybersecurity updates to the Board and Group leadership, challenge proposed controls where necessary and escalate unresolved or unacceptable risks. * Support BCB information requests, supervisory reviews and inspections, and coordinate with the CEO, AML/Compliance, Finance, Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, auditors and external advisers. Requirements: * Resident in Brazil and willing and eligible to accept appointment as a statutory director. * Able to satisfy BCB fit\-and\-proper, reputation and technical\-capacity requirements. * Several years of experience in risk management at a senior specialist or team lead level within a business supervised by a financial regulator in Brazil, such as a bank, payment institution, fintech or crypto company. * Practical experience with risk assessments, risk policies, risk registers, mitigation tracking and management reporting. * Practical experience in operational and technology risk management, including working with Security and Engineering teams to investigate incidents, design and assess controls, and monitor remediation. * Practical knowledge of Brazilian financial regulation and experience supporting BCB\-related regulatory processes, such as reporting, audits or responses to supervisory requests. * Understanding of capital adequacy and prudential reporting, with the ability to oversee these areas alongside Finance and specialist advisers. * Ability to adapt Group policies and controls to local requirements and coordinate actions across multiple teams. * Fluent Portuguese and English sufficient to collaborate effectively with international teams.
