### **About the Role** We’re looking for a **Senior Consultant** to support a large\-scale network security transformation involving the implementation of an **Akamai Web Application Firewall (WAF)** solution across LATAM and EMEA. In this role, you’ll provide technical leadership throughout the migration, helping onboard customer websites behind the Akamai WAF, coordinate network changes, troubleshoot complex issues, and work closely with customer, Akamai, and internal teams to ensure smooth and successful migrations. This is a hands\-on consulting role that combines **network security expertise, technical leadership, and large\-scale transformation experience** . ### **What You’ll Do** * Develop migration strategies and onboarding wave plans. * Lead technical onboarding activities and readiness reviews. * Support the implementation and onboarding of websites behind an Akamai WAF. * Troubleshoot DNS validation, cutovers, certificate issues, onboarding failures, and production validation issues. * Identify technical dependencies, risks, and issues and recommend appropriate remediation. * Perform root cause analysis and drive resolution of technical issues. * Coordinate technical communications and escalations across site owners, application teams, DNS administrators, Akamai resources, and customer stakeholders. * Work with Project Managers and regional teams to coordinate onboarding waves. * Provide technical leadership and recommendations throughout the transformation. * Produce clear technical documentation, designs, and deliverables. ### **What We’re Looking For** **Required experience:** * Deep experience with **Akamai Web Application Firewall (WAF)** design, configuration, network segmentation, and implementation. * Experience onboarding websites behind an Akamai WAF solution. * Strong knowledge of **DNS, DHCP, routing, CNAME changes, and origin servers** . * Experience with complex, global enterprise networks. * Experience with WAN and SD\-WAN planning, design, and deployment. * Strong understanding of MPLS, IP routing, and network migration/transition. * Experience with large campus LAN environments, including wireless. * Experience planning, designing, and deploying IP routing solutions, including technologies such as **OSPF, BGP, M\-BGP, and EIGRP** . * Strong leadership, communication, documentation, and project management skills. * Experience leading complex network engagements in large or multinational environments. * Bachelor’s degree. * **CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent experience.** * Ability to travel as required. * Professional proficiency in **English and Portuguese and/or Spanish** , with native\-level spoken Spanish or Portuguese preferred. ### **Nice to Have** * 2\+ years of consulting or advisory experience. * 12\+ years of experience in complex enterprise network planning, design, and implementation. * Experience with **F5 or other load\-balancing technologies** . * Cisco, Juniper, Extreme Networks, or similar networking experience. * Experience with SDN, VMware/virtualization, VeloCloud, or IoT. * Experience with data center networks and **Cisco ACI** . * Experience with hybrid cloud environments, **AWS and/or Azure** . * Familiarity with **SASE** technologies. * Experience creating Visio network designs and polished technical documentation. ### **Why This Role?** This is an opportunity to contribute to a **large\-scale, multinational network transformation** , working across LATAM and EMEA and collaborating with technical teams, customers, and technology partners.
