We are seeking a dedicated IB Diploma Program (DP) Coordinator to join our High School leadership team. The DP Coordinator oversees the IB Diploma Program curriculum from Year 10 through Year 12, serving as an instructional leader to steer the school’s efforts toward delivering consistently high\-quality learning experiences. The ideal candidate will cultivate an inclusive environment in which diversity is welcomed, academic excellence is pursued, and students learn to demonstrate leadership and take ownership of their actions. Working closely with peers across the school, the DP Coordinator ensures a coherent and connected learning continuum and seamless curricular integration between the IB DP and the Brazilian National Curriculum (BNCC). **Responsabilidades e atribuições** **Leadership** * Embody the qualities described in the IB Leader Capabilities framework. * Work closely with school leaders to evaluate and further develop the program. * Maintain a visible, approachable presence that models positive leadership throughout the school. * Foster a constructive and professional culture of learning. * Guide and supervise the work of the ToK, Extended Essay, and CAS Coordinators and supervisors. * Lead and support Area Leaders and external consultants in curriculum\-related matters. * Organize and deliver curriculum orientation for new staff members, and for students and parents as needed. * Build teachers’ professional capacity through coaching, mentoring, modeling inquiry\-based learning, and active participation in appraisal and professional development processes. * Take an active role in the school’s short\- and long\-term strategic planning projects. * Lead the collection and analysis of data on student achievement, including the regular analysis and reporting of DP data (predicted grades, final grades, subject\-level trends, cohort comparisons) to the Board, the leadership team, and the faculty. * In collaboration with the school’s leadership, set and monitor DP\-related targets (e.g., pass rate, average points, core element completion rates) as part of the school’s strategic plan. * Show commitment to the wider IB community by engaging with other schools and organizations. * Design and implement systems and processes to recognize and promote student success within the school and the broader community. * Lead and contribute to meetings and school\-wide initiatives. **Curriculum** * Coordinate and document the curriculum in alignment with the IB Program Standards and Practices. * Serve as the main liaison with the IBO and maintain records of all correspondence with IB offices. * Communicate with the IB regional office regarding programme evaluation visits and ensure thorough preparation for any IB visits. * Ensure the school meets all IB deadlines and complies with IB regulations. * Actively lead and pursue IB course approvals, subject offers, and any changes to the DP course matrix. * Collaborate with the PYP and MYP IB Coordinators to support clear articulation across programmes. * Lead and work with the High School Leadership Team to strengthen reporting on student learning. * Support teachers in designing assessment tasks and tools that align with the Assessment Policy. * Establish clear systems to inform and support students, teachers, and families regarding requirements for those not pursuing the full IB Diploma. * Lead the curricular components of the Year 9 to Year 10 transition process for students. * Collaborate with the High School leadership team and Area Leaders on the curricular integration between the Brazilian National Curriculum and the DP. * Work closely with Area Leaders to ensure curricular field trips are well planned, relevant, and effectively executed. * Facilitate parent learning workshops. **Student Wellbeing** * Collaborate with the Student Wellbeing (SWBC) team to ensure student wellbeing is embedded in curriculum design and expectations, and to support and mentor students who need additional attention. * Counsel students as they select subjects for the IB Diploma and continue this guidance throughout the programme, ensuring all student information related to DP choices is accurately recorded and kept up to date. * Ensure the University Counseling (UCC) team has access to all
