**Position:** Nursery Teacher **Section:** Early Childhood Education **Application Deadline:** October 2nd, 2026 **Start Date:** Immediate **Main responsibilities:** Plan and facilitate developmentally appropriate, play\-based, and inquiry\-driven learning aligned with the school curriculum and IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). Create a safe, inclusive, nurturing, and well\-organized environment where children learn through purposeful play, exploration, movement, relationships, and meaningful interactions. Support children’s growing independence, agency, communication, self\-regulation, and social\-emotional development, incorporating routines and daily care as meaningful learning opportunities. Observe and document children’s learning and development, using evidence to inform planning and instruction and maintaining accurate records in Toddle. Provide inclusive support according to individual strengths, needs, languages, cultures, and abilities. Ensure children’s safety, dignity, privacy, and well\-being while following safeguarding, health, hygiene, and emergency procedures. Collaborate with classroom monitors, specialists, Learning Support, counselors, school leadership, and families to support each child’s learning and well\-being. Participate in collaborative planning, professional learning, curriculum development, and school improvement initiatives. **Requirements:** Bachelor's degree in Education (Pedagogy) or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Fluency in both Portuguese and English (C2\). Relevant teaching experience with young children and strong knowledge of Early Childhood development. Experience with play\-based, inquiry\-driven, and child\-centered learning. Strong observation, communication, organization, collaboration, and relationship\-building skills. Previous experience with the IB PYP and/or international or bilingual schools is preferred.
