These solutions enable operators to detect, assess, and manage threats with greater confidence, driving safer operations, improved efficiency, reduced costs, and a lower environmental footprint Purpose As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions for robotic systems used in NDT applications. This role requires a strong background in software development, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Your focus will be on creating robust, scalable, and efficient software that drives our robotic solutions and ensures they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. **Key Responsibilities:** * Collaborate with cross\-functional engineering teams to define software requirements and system specifications. * Design and develop software for robotic systems, focusing on performance optimization, reliability, and scalability. * Implement software for various system components, including control systems, user interfaces, and data processing modules. * Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure compliance with product requirements. * Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, working closely with hardware and mechanical engineers to optimise system performance. * Participate in design reviews, offering insights based on software development and testing experience. * Maintain technical documentation, including software architecture diagrams, user manuals, and development guides. * Propose and implement improvements to software development and testing processes to enhance efficiency and quality. * Stay up\-to\-date with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to robotics and NDT applications. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred. * Proven experience in software development, with expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., C\#, Python, Java), with a full understanding of Object\-Oriented Programming and Design Pattern concepts. * Excellent problem\-solving and debugging skills * Experience with software testing frameworks and methodologies. * Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. * Strong English written and verbal communication skills. **Required Skills:** * Strong C\# with emphasis on multi\-threaded real\-time GUI development. * XAML (Extensible Application Markup Language). * .NET UI development in Windows Forms * Understanding of software development lifecycle tools (e.g., Git, Jira, CI/CD pipelines). **Desired Skills:** * Familiarity with Python * MVVM (Model\-View\-ViewModel) design pattern. * NET UI development in WPF. * Familiarity with the capabilities of LINQ and Autofac. * Familiarity with non\-destructive testing technologies or industrial automation. * Experience with real\-time systems, embedded software development, or control systems programming. * Experience with software for data acquisition and processing in robotic applications.
