Important: CV must be attached in English.** **Role Summary** The Senior Financial Crime Analyst is responsible for monitoring transactional activity across the Brazil market, detecting fraud and anti\-money laundering (AML) anomalies, and leading investigations into suspicious or unusual activity. The role combines fraud prevention and AML responsibilities: conducting in\-depth investigations, performing due diligence, and preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for regulatory submission, while also implementing effective transaction controls in close collaboration with commercial teams, payment networks, and Compliance. The role delivers insights that enhance operational efficiency and strengthen the overall risk control environment. **Responsibilities** * Investigate and analyse alerts generated by the real\-time transaction monitoring platform for merchants who breach the rules, escalating any suspicious or unusual activity. * Monitor transaction volume and amounts, and report anomalous events observed in transactional behaviour related to both fraud and AML factors. * Analyse and prepare data insights regarding fraudulent and anomalous behaviour observed over time. * Handle fraud and reports raised by authorities, collection networks, clients, and merchants. * Prepare and send Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to Compliance for proper handling. * Coordinate with commercial teams and payment networks to establish rules and limits that counter significant fraudulent behaviours. * Assist in evaluating the efficiency of suggested additional controls implemented via rules. * Assist the commercial team and payment networks in meetings with stakeholders. * Identify pain points and develop solutions that simplify operational tasks across the processes involved. * Support other fraud and risk team processes as required. **Requirements Experience \& Education** * 5\+ years of experience in the payments industry, fintech, or analytical roles within Risk or Compliance. * University degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Engineering, Administration, or a related field. * In\-depth experience in Fraud or Risk roles, including use of AML models (must have), monitoring systems (must have), and SAR reporting (should have); familiarity with Great Expectations is a plus. * Experience conducting holistic investigations and making risk\-based recommendations. **Technical \& Functional Skills** * Strong understanding of financial crime typologies and AML regulations. * Proficiency in using monitoring systems and investigative tools, and the ability to analyse transaction patterns to make informed, risk\-based decisions. * Strong SQL experience and Python knowledge. * Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; intermediate\-advanced Excel skills, with macros desirable. * Fluent / advanced English and Portuguese (mandatory); Spanish highly recommended **Why work at Paysafe?** * Career Growth: We offer continuous learning and development opportunities, empowering you to nurture your career in the dynamic world of online payments. * Employee Benefits: In addition to a competitive salary, we offer health insurance, cancer and life insurance, 30 days of paid vacation, 4 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours (Dec\-Mar), a birthday day off, and more. * Work\-Life Balance: We are committed to fostering a balanced work environment with flexibility, ensuring you have the opportunity to thrive both personally and professionally. **Equal Employment Opportunity** Paysafe offers equal employment opportunities to all its employees and applicants for employment and prohibits any form of discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, age, sex, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other protected characteristic.
