For more information, visit hornblowercorp.com. **Position Summary:** The Vessel Crew Technician informs Capitan and Port Engineer vessel temperature and equipment, and all associated with the operation of project vessels. Adheres to departmental procedures and ensures associated training and compliance. Performs preventative maintenance program and planning activities. Reviews and monitors work requests and ensures machinery history is maintained. Supports departmental budget and works to achieve high levels of cost efficiency. The right person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System. **Duties and Responsibilities:** * Safety First. Be an active advocate of, and participant in the Safety Culture. Safety shall always remain the highest priority. * Remain true to and champion the Company’s RESPECT Core Values and Code of Conduct. * Consider reliability and efficiency regarding Company operations. * Support overall state of safety and security for the project site. * Demonstrate practical knowledge of all phases of shipboard safety procedures and knowledge of location and use of all firefighting and safety equipment (i.e., fire extinguishers, life preservers, work vest). * Use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Compliance with Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) (as required). * Report safety related concerns. * Periodically inspect machinery spaces for environmental, safety and health deficiencies. Bring deficiencies to the attention of the Chief Engineer and Vessel Master. Monitor corrective actions until complete. * Develop work orders and issue maintenance and repair assignments. * Support the completion of maintenance and repair tasks by Company personnel and outside contractors. * Maintain machinery history. * Assist with training and orientation of maintenance personnel and shipboard engineers. * Support and maintain consistency among engineering training programs at the project site and throughout the Company. * Participates in engineering training and drills in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best management practices. * Supports engineering personnel proficiency and provide instructions / guidance for areas of improvement. * Investigate machinery casualties to determine cause. Where appropriate incorporate findings in engineering and machinery procedures. * Conduct appropriate testing and trend analysis. * Support and motivate shipboard engineers and personnel to perform their duties with professionalism, accuracy, and enthusiasm. * Develop and maintain standards for engineering logs and vessel maintenance records. * Encourage uniform standards of maintenance personnel and shipboard engineers. * Understand the Employee Handbook and adhere to policies. * Comply with rules and regulations contained in the crew handbook and as directed by supervisor including, **but not limited to:** * Report to work on time and ready for duty.
