**AI\-Forward Product Designer** Answer honestly and specifically set aside about 15 minutes. Fields marked \* are required. One rule: write your answers yourself don't use AI. About 20 of us, spread across the world, profitable, and building things we actually stand behind. We build two products. Helpjuice is our knowledge base software, used by thousands of companies including Amazon, Hertz, and Virgin. Outlearn is our newer AI\-powered chatbot, already resolving nearly half of every support ticket it touches (without a human ever stepping in). We need a designer who thinks in systems, uses AI as a real part of how they work (not a gimmick they bolt on at the end), and can take a messy problem like "how should an AI chatbot explain uncertainty to a user" and turn it into something clear, fast, and good. **What you'll do** * Design across the stack of both products: dashboards, editors, and the newer AI\-native surfaces in Outlearn * Own things end\-to\-end: from a rough problem, to flows, to high\-fidelity screens, to sitting with engineers while it gets built * Use AI tools heavily in your own process (research, exploration, prototyping) and be ready to explain every decision you shipped, because you're the one defending it * Design the hard, still\-unsolved parts of AI product UX: how a chatbot shows confidence, handles being wrong, hands off to a human, etc. * Prototype fast enough to test an idea in hours, not weeks * Push back on us when a request doesn't serve the user, and say why * Work directly with founders and engineers no layers, no handoff theater **What we look for** * A portfolio or live product with real, shipped work we can actually look at not just polished mockups * You can walk us through a recent project in detail: the problem, your specific decisions, what you tried that didn't work * Real product/UX thinking, not just visual polish you can explain why a screen is the way it is, not just that it looks good * Comfort using AI as a working tool (we do too) but everything you ship, you can defend line by line * No gate on years of experience or design\-school pedigree. We care whether you can take ambiguity and make something people actually want to use. Our bar is high, and it's not about credentials it's about whether you can build things that work and stand behind them. If "walk me through this project" gets you a vague answer, or you can't show us anything real, this isn't your seat. **Compensation \& Timezone** We pay fairly and transparently, candidate\-anchored to what you tell us you're worth we meet or exceed your number within the band.
