Communications Assistant

**National UNV assignment – Brazil** UNVprogramme is looking for a **Communications Assistant** to support strategic communications, visibility, talent outreach and the promotion of volunteerism in Brazil. This National UN Volunteer assignment will contribute to creating engaging, locally relevant communications that showcase the contribution of UN Volunteers, strengthen UNV’s brand and connect with partners, prospective volunteers and wider audiences. What will you contribute? * Support communications strategies, campaigns and promotional initiatives at country level. * Draft and adapt content for social media, websites, presentations and outreach materials. * Create, schedule, publish and monitor digital content and track audience engagement. * Identify volunteer stories, testimonials, photos and other content for storytelling and editorial products. * Support joint communications initiatives with UN partners and field teams. * Assist with basic graphic design, proofreading, formatting and brand compliance. * Support communications events, outreach activities and preparation of presentations, talking points and reports. Apply if you meet the following: * Bachelor’s degree in **Communications, Journalism, Advertising or a related field** ; a high school diploma may be considered with two additional years of relevant experience. * At least **3 years of relevant experience** in communications and/or public relations. * Experience in content creation, digital communications, social media or graphic design is an advantage. * Strong communication, storytelling, relationship\-management and organizational skills. * **Portuguese: Fluent – required.** * **English: Fluent – required.** * **Spanish: Working knowledge – desirable.** What does the UN Volunteer experience offer?
