TideWise's mission is to push the transition to a safer and more sustainable maritime industry. Many operations at sea actually do not require the physical presence of humans \- they can perfectly be performed by uncrewed systems monitored by operators on shore. TideWise designs, builds and operates such systems, using its expertise with uncrewed vessels (USVs), and integrating the USVs with other types of robots or payloads (drones, ROVs). If you are looking for a place to work with high impact and interesting technical challenges, TideWise is it. **About the job** We are looking to expand our software team with experienced software developers that value **understanding systems.** We are looking for developers that can demonstrate knowledge on how to design and maintain a complex system that constantly evolves. We're looking for experienced frontend developers, who are also capable of contributing with designing the user experience (operator interface) **.** The job at TideWise \- realtime control of physical systems \- is a challenging yet rewarding domain. You may have to gain knowledge in well\-studied problems such as human factors to integrate in the UI design. Prior experience with realtime systems that are world\-facing is desirable. You will be evaluated on both your past achievements and your ability to adapt. We work hybridly, with at most two days from home (outside of exceptional situations). However, we will consider offering remote positions for exceptional candidates. **Responsibilities** * Create intuitive, safety\-critical user interfaces that handle real\-world maritime constraints, such as latency, communication brownouts and low\-bandwidth connections * Aim at reducing operator cognitive load when managing remote vehicles. * Maintain a balanced workflow where you dedicate roughly 30% of your time to high\-fidelity Figma prototyping and 70% to implementing the frontend application with clean and performant code. * Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies. * Interact with the operations team to test ideas and gather feedback on the existing system. * Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency). * Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and operational feedback. * Triage issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact. **Minimum qualifications:** * Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and make critical decisions in a fast\-paced environment. * Experience in architecture design and requirement analysis in the development area of your choosing. * 4 years practical experience in frontend development using Angular. * 2 years practical experience in UX design. **Desirable:** * Experience working with web technologies for real\-time communication (like WebRTC and WebSocket) * Advanced Front\-end Frameworks: strong professional experience building scalable enterprise applications using Angular 17\+. * Reactive State Management: Deep understanding of reactive programming paradigms with RxJs and state Management architecture using NgRx **Benefits:** * Meal, Grocery \& Transportation Allowance: Flexible balance provided via the Caju Benefits card. * Childcare Food Allowance: Extra 25% boost on your Grocery Allowance for each child under 21\. * Health \& Dental Care: Comprehensive SulAmérica Health and Dental plans. * Life Insurance: Fully covered life insurance policy. * Wellness: Access to WellHub (Gympass).
