This strategic document directs UNDP’s collaboration with the Brazilian government and sets out priority partnerships in four main areas: 1\) economic transformation for sustainable development; 2\) social inclusion for sustainable development; 3\) environment and climate change for sustainable development; and 4\) governance and institutional capacities for sustainable development. The CPD is anchored in the country’s Multi\-Year Plan (PPA) 2024\-2027 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2023–2027\. In view of the imperative to support the country in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to promote human development, particularly among the most excluded and vulnerable populations, the UNDP Country Office in Brazil has structured the Decentralized Cooperation and Territorial Development Unit as a strategic cross\-cutting area, with the objective of fostering inclusive governance and sustainable human development — social, economic and environmental — at the sub\-national level, ensuring that no one is left behind. The Unit’s work is guided by alignment with national policies and plans, as well as with UNDP institutional frameworks contributing to the articulation of integrated and coherent responses aligned with national priorities and the 2030 Agenda. Project BRA/24/008 – Agenda Rio 2030 exemplifies UNDP Brazil’s commitment to advancing the priorities of the Country Programme Document (CPD) through locally driven, innovative, and inclusive approaches to sustainable development. By promoting territorialized and participatory governance, it strengthens local capacities, fosters community engagement, and supports integrated solutions to address inequalities and accelerate progress toward the SDGs, particularly in vulnerable territories. Through the implementation of Socio\-Environmental and Technological Innovation Parks (PISTA), the initiative contributes to social transformation, resilience, and human development while systematically incorporating gender, race, and intersectionality perspectives into its interventions. In this context, it supports the strengthening of planning, governance, and social mobilization for SDG implementation in the State of Rio de Janeiro. Under the direct supervision of the Unit Coordinator, the Project Analyst will provide technical and managerial support for the implementation, monitoring, and coordination of Project BRA/24/008 and other projects executed under DIM and/or NIM modalities, primarily in Rio de Janeiro. The incumbent will ensure effective project delivery in accordance with UNDP and donor requirements, while contributing technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, and strategic inputs to strengthen the positioning and expansion of UNDP’s work in the thematic areas covered by the portfolio. **Scope of Work** **Ensure Coordinate effective project planning and implementation.** * Develop project planning process and ensure the work plan and a fully costed budget are prepared based on sound capacity assessments and in accordance with UNDP POPP/PPM Guidelines. * Coordinate / manage the day\-to\-day activities of the assigned portfolio and the overall implementation process, including planning and monitoring in order to optimize the use of resources and to ensure the successful achievement of project objectives and results specified in project document.
